What is a borehole and how does it provide a water supply?
A borehole is a narrow, deep shaft drilled into the ground to access groundwater held in underground aquifers. Once drilled, a pump is installed to bring the water to the surface, providing an independent, private water supply for domestic, agricultural, commercial or industrial use.
